I’m Marcella, the creative force behind Marcella Photography. I specialize in photographing weddings, boudoir, and newborn. Family is very important to me, so when I’m not behind the camera, you can find me and my two lovely kids exploring new places around town. At ages 6 and 3 my “smiling beauties”, as I call them, already know how to give my camera their best smiles! I also love my extended family in Mexico. We are a crazy bunch that really enjoy each other’s company be it at weddings, birthdays or the holidays.
The love for photography runs in my family as my dad is also a professional photographer. I grabbed my first camera when I was 4 years old and shot my first wedding at 17. With a bachelor's degree in communications I created Mexico's bridal magazine Boda & Vida with great success.
Over the years, I have developed a style that is clean, timeless, and true to color. I’m drawn to photograph using natural light but I’m experienced in using artificial light as well. I feel so grateful to do what I love: photographing people and important milestones helping them create images that become irreplaceable memories.

My kids are not a thing but for sure they’re my favorite of all. Words seriously can’t describe all the love I have for my babies. I am blessed to be their mom and I’m looking forward to all the fun adventures ahead of us!

I absolutely love my crazy family. I have a huge extended family (50+ members) and even though some of us live in different cities (and countries), we still get together at least once a year. Most of them are natural artists and are great at playing instruments, singing, and making jokes. So when we get together is party time for sure!

I enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and camping. I have never dance professionally but I love to dance, just for fun! I know a little bit of salsa and last year I tipped my toes on tango by taking private lessons. This year I'm learning west coast swing dance and plan on taking bachata lessons too.

We live in such a beautiful world! I love going to new places and known places. I enjoy everything, from the mountains to the snow and cruise ships but my favorite is the beach. My wish list is still very long but I hope to tackle a couple of places each year.
